Every two minutes, someone in Australia needs the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

For 96 years, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) has been a lifeline for those living in remote, rural, and regional areas. From life-threatening emergencies to routine check-ups with a GP, dentist, or mental health professional, the Flying Doctor delivers top-notch care to every Australian in need.

With no other healthcare options available, the RFDS brings emergency medical and primary health services to communities across Australia’s vast, rugged, and breathtaking landscape. They make it possible for people to live, work, and travel in even the most isolated parts of the country.

The RFDS is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical services in the world. They cover the 7.69 million square kilometers of Australia with 81 aircraft, offering 24/7 emergency retrievals and primary health care services. You can even track the fleet in real-time, as they fly across the country providing life-saving care.

But they don’t just respond to emergencies. Over 50% of their daily work focuses on delivering primary healthcare, from dental and mental health services to health education—ensuring better outcomes for all Australians, no matter where they are.

In remote areas, healthcare isn’t a luxury; it’s a lifeline. In an emergency, every second counts—the difference between life and death. We’ve seen families rushed to life-saving surgery in Perth, knowing that without the RFDS, the outcome could have been catastrophic.

This October, Paul Mulroney, our General Manager at Logical Developments, is taking on a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for the RFDS and help more Australians access critical care. Want to support Paul? Donate here
